Vita

Born in 1978, the artist lives and works in Beijing. Chen Ke became famous for her surrealist paintings. in which fairy-tale depictions of strangely rapturous child women can be seen. The optics are partly reminiscent of Japanese manga representations “ArtChina” presents the series “With You, I’ll Never Feel Lonely” (a total of 30 motifs). These are signed prints of photo installations in which toys, cans or even a TV were partly covered with image elements of their well-known works. The entire object was then photographed.
